Now is the time for planning a spring get-together with IFMR members in your area. Use the membership roster distributed with the last newsletter to see who else is in your area and arrange to get together with them for a fellowship meal and a ride, then send me photos and narratives of your get-together. If you're planning a weekend event or longer ride, let us know in advance and we'll publicize it in the newsletter and on the IFMR-NA website to help you draw a group together.

Correction to Event Date: IFMR Spring Get-Together, May 2-4, 2014

I just noticed that COMING EVENTS listing in the December newsletter shows the wrong dates for the IFMR Spring Get-Together at Staunton, VA. The correct dates should be Friday, May 2 - Sunday, May 4. Sorry for the error. Details on lodging, etc, will be announced as soon as details are completed. Mark your calendar and I'll hope to see you there. (Also note that this event follows just a couple days after the "Fellowship Ride to End Polio", so you may want to plan to participate in both, since they are only a couple hundred miles apart.

Attached is a PDF copy of the October issue of the IFMR-NA President's newsletter, which includes the following:

*  Three Fall Rides Climax Another Great IFMR-NA Riding Season

*  New IFMR-NA Directory, New Members Announced
*  Time to Start Planning 2014 Spring & Summer Rides

A PDF copy of the new, updated IFMR-NA member directory was sent with the email announcement.  Download and print it for future reference.  It provides contact information for all current members, listed both alphabetically and by state/province, which makes it easy to find other members in your area or in an area you plan to visit.

ALSO:  If you have personal stories or photos about motorcycling that you'd like to share with other IFMR members, send them to me and I'll try to fit them into the newsletter in the future.  Just email your JPG and/or DOC files to me at

IFMR-NA President's February Newsletter

Attached is the February issue of the IFMR President's newsletter. It includes the following topics:

* Coming Events
* Tim Cudd Named IFMR-NA VP & President-Elect
* Great Rides Ahead in 2013
* Flyer for Spring Get-Together at Lock Haven, PA

In most of the midwest it's been lots of snow and almost no chance to ride the past two months. Here in Virginia, it's been occasional snow puncuated by periods of mild temps and sunshine that permit us to get out for an occasional ride. And then there are those lucky folks in areas with only occasional cold and little snow who can enjoy riding almost all year long. But wherever you live, and whatever you ride, I hope you're taking advantage of opportunities to get together and ride, either with friends or by yourself. And for those of you who, like me, have to contend with winter weather, best wishes for an early spring!

:-) Bob

Tim Cudd Named VP & President-Elect of IFMR-NA

Attached is a press release by IFMR-NA regarding the selection of Tim Cudd as Vice President and President-Elect of the North American chapter. Tim is currently Governor 2012-13 of Rotary District 6060-Eastern Missouri. He is a resident of St. Charles, MO, and a member and past president of the Rotary Club of St. Peters, MO. He is also an avid motorcyclist and has been active in IFMR, HOG, and Legion Riders. A more complete bio is provided in the attached release.

If you haven't met Tim previously, you'll doubtless have the opportunity to do so at one of the IFMR get-togethers being held around the country in the coming months. Meanwhile, you can send congratulations and best wishes to him at dg2012.13@gmail.com.

Please forward a copy of this announcement to your District Governor, DGE, and District Newsletter Editor to help increase awareness of IFMR and other Rotary fellowships.
